Saint Luke’s- San Lucas Food Pantry
Our Pantry had a modest beginning during the fall season of 2007, when we served about ten families per month and relied solely on donations from those who attended services at St. Luke’s-San Lucas. At the present, the average number of individuals served each month is about 800 and keeps growing.
We provide, free of cost, mostly non-perishable food by appointment. We distribute food only on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Appoinments are given only in person at the church (201 Washington Avenue, Chelsea) on Saturdays from 10 to 11a.m.
We rely heavily on the Greater Boston Food Bank for food and are glad to accept private & corporate donations. If you would like to make a donation, either in-kind or financial please phone Fr. Edgar at (617)884-3300 or e-mail him at Vicarsanlucas@aol.com . Please, write your checks to: St. Luke’s-San Lucas Episcopal Church For: Food Pantry, or make an online donation here: St Luke Episcopal Church – Donate Now (networkforgood.com)
This program is operated by our Food Pantry Coordinator, along with volunteers from our St. Luke’s-San Lucas Church, Epiphany Episcopal Church from Winchester, and non-affiliated ones. If you want to sign up to volunteer on Saturdays, please call Father Edgar at (617)884-4278.
